Between The Pages
A perfect start of the Return of the Blackwell Brothers series! This introduction story sets the level high. The author’s writing is smooth and her descriptive voice is well crafted.
The setting is picturesque on a cattle ranch in Montana. The main characters (a handsome rugged cowboy and a city girl) are captivating and their budding attraction is endearing. Then there are the twins (the cover is too cute!). I expected them to continue their rampage, but the author twists them into adorable little girls ready to learn and to please their new nanny - a wonderful twist. The cast is beyond interesting and I already have favourites: Trout (the dog), Sophie, Zach, Tom, Scooter...just to name a few. A memorable scene is when Lydia asks the cowboys to help her as she escapes the dance, which is a big reveal to the story line’s hint of suspense. I highly recommend The Rancher’s Twins, which I read in just two days, and it is the first of a five authors/separate story series of five brothers. I have the next book, The Rancher’s Rescue, already downloaded and I can’t wait to read it.
