Joining me in The Author's Den on this beautiful day is Vicki Batman.
Vicki, tell us a little about yourself.
Vicki Batman has sold many romantic comedy works to magazines, several publishers, and most recently, two humorous romantic mysteries. Along the way she has garnered awards and bestsellers. She is a member of Romance Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, and several writing groups. An avid Jazzerciser. Handbag lover. Mahjong player. Yoga practitioner. Movie fan. Book devourer. Cat fancier. Best Mom ever. And adores Handsome Hubby. Most days begin with her hands set to the keyboard and thinking "What if??"
What’s your guilty procrastination secret?
I’m thinking…. I got it! Emptying the dishwasher. lol
What does your writing space look like?
Attached My desk is by a window where I watch the seasons turn, the birds and squirrels. Along an adjacent wall are four loaded bookcases. Across from that wall is a brown leather love seat with some pillows I’ve stitched in needlepoint. Above the couch are framed covers of my work. Across from my desk is a large storage closet. Next to the closet door is an old red tool chest which used to belong to my dad.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not writing?
I Jazzercise every day, I walk the dogs most days. I stitch needlepoint and embroidery. Read a lot, watch TV, and go to the movies with Handsome.
What can we look forward to with your upcoming or next writing project?
My very new project is Just Desserts…and Other Stories which released June 1, 2018.

Thank you so much for stopping by, Melissa! Isn't the cover just oooey gooey fun? Hugs!
Congrats, Vicki. Over the weekend, I was watching reruns of the 1970's The Mary Tyler Moore show...it occurred to me that the character of Rhoda reminds me of some of the heroines in your novels.
Hi, Angela! That's so funny I certainly wasn't channeling her. I watched the shows, too.
