Between The Pages - An Alaskan Christmas

An Alaskan Christmas
Jennifer Snow
September 2019

In Alaska, it’s always a white Christmas—but the sparks flying between two reunited friends could turn it red-hot…

If there’s one gift Erika Sheraton does not want for Christmas, it’s a vacation. Ordered to take time off, the workaholic surgeon reluctantly trades in her scrubs for a ski suit and heads to Wild River, Alaska. Her friend Cassie owns a tour company that offers adventures to fit every visitor. But nothing compares to the adrenaline rush Erika feels on being reunited with Cassie’s brother, Reed Reynolds.

Gone is the buttoned-up girl Reed remembers. His sister’s best friend has blossomed into a strong, skilled, confident woman. She’s exactly what his search-and-rescue team needs—and everything he didn’t know he craved. The gulf between his life in Wild River and her big-city career is wide. But it’s no match for a desire powerful enough to melt two stubborn hearts…

Between The Pages
In the opening chapter, the heroine came across as a bit snooty and I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy this story, but as a fan of Jennifer’s Snow’s past books, I gave it a chance. I am happy I continued reading. Erika is obsessed with her job, but once she’s home in Wild River her character softens. The hero, Reed, is handsome, sexy, a member of the search and rescue team, and a bartender…what more could a romance reader ask for. The story heats up the pages with the main characters’ chemistry. Their connection is instant, but their forever has many obstacles. There are some great snowy mountain rescue scenes and a couple of plot twists with Erika’s relationship with her father as well as Reed’s missing father. There is also a good cast of secondary characters who could hold a story of their own, and I look forward to seeing who the author chooses to star in the next Wild River Novel series. The beautiful cover will draw you into this steamy romance with a wintry setting.

Maybe This Love

Maybe This Love

The game of his life.

Hockey player Ben Westmore has some serious skills---on and off the ice---and he's not above indulging in the many perks of NHL stardom. When a night in Vegas ends in disaster, he realizes two things: 1) it's time to lie low for a while, and 2) he needs a lawyer---fast. But the smoking-hot woman who walks into his office immediately tests all his good intentions.

Olivia Davis doesn't need anyone derailing her career---or her dreams of starting a family---least of all a skirt-chasing player like Ben. But soon he's unleashing a full-court press to convince her that he's the real deal. She's slowly falling for his sweet, rugged charm, but with so much on the line, Olivia has to decide whether Ben can truly change---or if he's just playing the game.

Between The Pages
A romance story with a hockey theme — I am already hooked. Each member of the Westmore family is enjoyable, so catching up with them, and getting to know Ben, was a lot of fun. The connection between Ben and Olivia was sweet with a splash of spicy, and their banter added humour that will make you smile. The author takes you through a rocky romance and a journey to the payoffs. A perfect afternoon read. Will Ben finally get to hold the Stanley Cup? You’ll have to read this book to find out!

Her Holiday Fling

What happens in Hawaii…

Divorce lawyer Hayley Hanna has one week to convince her bosses she's not a "ruthless, man-hating shark." And it's not going to be easy. In a moment of insanity, Hayley agrees to bring her fiancé to the corporate retreat in Maui. But there's one problem: she hasn't got a fiancé.

Enter Chase Hartley—six feet of sexy, sculpted police muscle. Chase needs a date for his sister's island wedding—someone to stop the family matchmakers. The chemistry between Hayley and Chase is just a bonus—one that quickly turns hot nights into sizzling sexcapades. All they have to do is resist believing their own lie. But just because their relationship is fake doesn't mean that falling for each other won't have real consequences!

Between The Pages
The beautiful setting of Hawaii starts off this story on a high note. The introduction of Hayley and Chase meeting on the plane has instant chemistry and leads to a steamy relationship. The dialogue is smooth and often humourous. As well as some sizzling hot scenes, Jennifer Snow has delivered another entertaining read with enjoyable characters, a stunning setting, and a captivating story line. I look forward to reading the next story, Tempting Kate, in Wild Wedding Nights with Chase’s sister Kate, who didn’t get her happy-ever-after.

Maybe This Kiss

Maybe This Kiss
Jennifer Snow
November 2016

Love is always worth the risk . . .

Neil Healy was happy to be promoted to Air Force lieutenant colonel, but he's less than thrilled that the new job has brought him back to his hometown. The memories alone could kill a man, to say nothing of actually seeing the woman he never got over. Neil knew avoiding Becky Westmore would be impossible, but he didn't expect the chemistry between them to be as strong as ever.

All Becky wants this holiday season is to get through the month of December with her sanity intact. Not helping? Her ex-boyfriend's return to Glenwood Falls. Even after a decade apart, Neil still makes her feel in ways no other man has. But Christmas is a time for miracles, and maybe Becky's will be a second chance at first love.

Between The Pages
Maybe This Kiss is the prequel to the Colorado Ice series and gives a nice introduction to the characters and the beautiful setting. The plot revolves around family, hockey, and second chances, which makes for an interesting and fun read. Every scene with Becky’s daughter, Taylor, is touching. The novella length isn’t rushed. The development of the story is smooth and makes this an enjoyable afternoon read. I’m looking forward to reading Ben Westmore’s story in Maybe This Love.

Maybe This Time

Starting over means a second chance . . .

Abigail Jansen is done with hockey . . . and hockey players. After leaving her two-timing NHL-star husband, Abby decides to start over in her hometown of Glenwood Falls, Colorado. There she doesn't have to deal with people gossiping behind her back or hear the word "hockey"---until her daughter tries out for the junior hockey team. Now Abby has to face her fears . . . and coach Jackson Westmore. He's tall, dark, handsome---and happens to hate her.

All through high school, talented hockey player Jackson Westmore had a crush on Abby, but he would never make a move on his best friend's girl. He gave her the cold shoulder out of self-preservation and worked out his frustrations on the ice. So when Abby returns, newly divorced and still sexy as hell, Jackson knows he's in trouble. Now even the best defensive skills might not keep him from losing his heart.

Between The Pages
Being a huge hockey fan, I couldn’t wait to read this this book, and I was not disappointed. The story was enjoyable from the first page and to the end. The small town setting and the hockey theme captivated my interest right away. There is a line in the book that reads Jackson Westmore is perfect, and that statement is spot-on. Jackson is the ultimate hero. He’s had a crush on Abby since elementary and he doesn’t waiver in those feelings, even when she married his best friend. The chemistry between Jackson and Abby is electric, which leads to a couple very steamy scenes. The story is packed with emotion and wonderful secondary characters. This is the second book in the author’s Colorado Ice series, which easily reads as a stand-alone. However, I enjoyed this story so much; I have to read the prequel where Becky, Jackson’s sister, finds love, because she quickly became one of my favourite characters. Then, it’s on to Jackson’s brother, Ben’s story. A must read series!

Love, Lies, and Mistletoe

Love, Lies & Mistletoe
By Jennifer Snow
November 2015

This small-town sheriff has big-city secrets.

As a detective in New York, Jacob Marx had been deep under cover in a drug cartel…until a bust went terribly wrong. Now posing as a good guy is proving even tougher. Since the force sent him to Brookhollow to lie low as a deputy sheriff, he's been struggling to stay detached from the townspeople. Especially Heather, the gorgeous, high-heeled bartender at the local pool hall who asks too many questions. Tempted as he is, he can't allow himself to connect with her or anyone else. His career and safety are at stake. Of course, a little flirting couldn't hurt… Could it?

Between The Pages
The last story in the Brookhollow series is not only a must read during the holidays, but anytime you’re looking for a fun romance with a hint of suspense. The setting and characters pull the reader in immediately. Heather and Jacob are fun and have undeniable chemistry. The suspense behind Jacob’s past is a perfect twist. Very sad to see this series end.

Breaking Her Rules

Breaking Her Rules
By Jennifer Snow
July 2015

Walker Adams was supposed to follow in his lawyer father’s footsteps, but instead he’s training to be an MMA fighter. And while he works for his chance to make it in the Maximum Fight League, he’s bunking on his baby sister’s best friend’s couch. Gracie Andrews is all grown up—in all the right places. But she’s engaged to the fight match-maker who holds Walker’s career in his hands…

Gracie had almost convinced herself that she’d put her silly childhood crush on Walker to rest. But the sight of him sleeping in only a pair of boxer briefs makes it clear that some things never change. And as old sparks turn to flames, Gracie is forced to decide between the future she thought she wanted or the man she’s never stopped loving…

Between The Pages
Packed with sizzling chemistry and emotion. While not a fan of MMA, I found the story quite enjoyable. The plot was smooth and the dialogue moves the story. The interaction between the main characters is fun and makes the reader look forward to their next encounter. Walker is sensitive and sweet, and you’ll root for him to get his girl. When his father makes an entrance near the end, the emotion kicks into high gear. I liked Grace, but she has a boyfriend through most of the story. I had hoped she’d leave him long before her birthday and didn’t understand why she stayed with him afterward. The supporting characters were fun and added to the enjoyment of the read. I look forward to reading about Tyson in the Beyond the Cage series.

Fighting for Keeps

Fighting for Keeps
By Jennifer Snow
May 2015

He's kryptonite. And she needs all her strength…

Noah Parks is the ridiculously gorgeous, motorcycle-riding, cage-match-fighting equivalent of kryptonite for Lindsay Harper. And she's going to need every last ounce of her strength now that she's the legal guardian of her brother's five orphaned children. For the sake of her new family, it's time to give up her carefree single ways. Stop being the cool aunt and become a parent. And fight this crazy attraction to Noah. Sure, there's a side of him she can't help falling for…the one who volunteers as a firefighter and helps at-risk youth. The irresistibly kind and caring side. But she is a nurse, after all. She can't love an MMA fighter, a man she regularly has to scan for physical trauma… Can she?

Between The Pages
Ms. Snow does not disappoint in the fifth title of the Brookhollow Series with flawless writing and spot-on characters. Emotion fills each and every page. A pivotal point in the story is when two characters from a previous story get into an accident. If you’ve read that title in the series, you’ll grieve the loss, but then turn the pages to read what happens next. I recommend reading the previous four titles in the series (only because those stories are just as good), but you don’t necessarily have to because Fighting for Keeps stands on its own. Not a fan of boxing? Don’t let that stop you from reading this story. The engaging plot will hold your attention and you won’t put down this book until the end. I highly recommend slipping into Brookhollow and introducing yourself to the quaint little town and its residents.

The Mistletoe Melody

The Mistletoe Melody
By Jennifer Snow
November 2014

'Tis the season of forgiveness…but can she ever forget?

Brad Monroe was truly unbelievable. Blowing back into Brookhollow for three days to film a Christmas special—three years after the accident that killed his best friend…her husband—and expecting Melody to be civil? Please. He'd been the only one who'd survived the tragedy, hightailing it to Nashville and hijacking her dream…Patrick's dream. She'd spent that time grieving, working three jobs, struggling to raise her boys and keep a roof over their heads. Now she was losing ground on all fronts, and not about to forgive and forget. Or give him the one thing that could save them all.

Between The Pages
A perfect holiday romance set in the picturesque town of Brookhollow. Wonderfully written with tons of emotion and real-to-life heartwarming characters. Hooked at the first page, but the scene at the cemetery put me over the edge and brought a tear to my eye.

Falling for Leigh

Falling for Leigh
By Jennifer Snow
September 2014

Can she be his cure for writer's block?

For New York novelist Logan Walters, falling for the girl next door was more than a cliché. It was a calamity! If Leigh Norris hadn't been so attractive, and hadn't been hammering relentlessly while he was trying to write, Logan would never have ascended her rickety ladder in a misguided mix of gallantry and frustration. And he wouldn't have a broken wrist—or a guilty new assistant who can't type. Clearly, his escape to the Brookhollow B and B was not going to be the quiet, idyllic retreat he needed to finish his overdue manuscript. But it was fast becoming much more interesting than expected….

Between The Pages
Another well-written story from the quaint town of Brookhollow will have you rooting for Leigh and Logan. The town’s characters are well-developed and captivating, and the setting will make you want to move to Brookhollow. Leigh and Logan are tender and real, and their chemistry is romantic and fun. The dialogue from the main characters is written superbly, filled with wit; you’ll find yourself laughing-out-loud. The story flows flawlessly and the romance is endearing. A must read. I can’t wait for the next story based in Brookhollow!

Between The Pages - What a Girl Wants

What a Girl Wants
By Jennifer Snow
February 2014
Book Two in the Brookhollow Series

Friendship is overrated, if you ask her She's always just been one of the guys…until she falls in love with one of the guys. Except Bailey Sheppard has carried a torch for firefighter Ethan Bishop since high school. And now that his long-term girlfriend has left him brokenhearted, she's free to go after what she's always wanted.

Not that Ethan sees Bailey as anything but a friend. A best friend maybe, but still not a woman he'd be interested in. Pining for his ex has made him blind to the possibility of happiness with anyone else…. But can Ethan resist a woman who knows what she wants?

Between the Pages
A beautifully written story full of emotion. The main characters are charming with a complex relationship. Bailey is the perfect heroine and Ethan captivates the story as his love for Bailey surfaces. The addition of Ethan’s ex girlfriend’s point of view was a bit intrusive, but the overall storyline kept the pace smooth and engaging. This story has depth and heart, and will have readers eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.

Alex Miller has loved his quirky best friend since day one. Wanting more than friendship, he plans to respond to her ad and catch her attention. Will Alex's attempt to win Piper's heart lead her into his arms or backfire and destroy their friendship.

Between The Pages
This short but sweet romance will capture your attention on the first page and will hold your attention to the very end. Following the heroine through her bad dates is fun as you wait for the hero to make his move. You’ll root for these delightful characters right up to the feel-good happy-ever-after ending.

Mistletoe and Molly
By Jennifer Snow
November 2012

Molly Bishop needs new winter tires and an excuse to avoid Christmas dinner with her family. What she doesn't need is to be rescued. Aiden Ford disagrees. Successful, confident, and not at all Molly's type, he sets out to 'help' her, and a war of Christmas kindness ensues, driving the two into each other's arms—that is if they can stop arguing long enough.

Between The Pages
An entertaining plot with interesting characters and lots of humor. Their attempts to one-up each other is amusing. A sweet romance you’ll want to curl on the sofa with a hot beverage, and read in one sitting.

Between The Pages - The Trouble with Mistletoe

The Trouble with Mistletoe
By Jennifer Snow
November 2013

You can't say no to a mistletoe kiss, no matter who's under it!

Since leaving Brookhollow and her fiancé, Luke Dawson, twelve years earlier, Victoria Mason hasn't looked back. She's traded the small-town dream of marriage, kids and family Christmas dinners for late nights working at a high-powered acquisitions firm, lunches at trendy New York restaurants and jet-set vacations on the slopes.

So her latest work assignment, to acquire Brookhollow's sporting-goods store, poses a challenge for Victoria, in more ways than one. Because it's almost Christmas, and she's got other holiday plans. And the owner is reluctant to sell. And the owner is Luke. She needs to wrap up the deal before she gets caught up in her old life and her old love…or becomes trapped under the mistletoe. Again.

Between The Pages
A second chance love story with fun characters and a captivating plot. The Christmas setting in Brookhollow will definitely put you in the Christmas spirit. This sweet and engaging story is a must read this holiday season.
