Between The Pages - Falling For the Cowboy Doc

Falling For the Cowboy Doc
Cari Lynn Webb
June 2023

Can the rodeo cowgirl…
Win his love?

Professional roper Maggie Orr needs to secure a national sponsorship. And orthopedic surgeon Grant Sloan could derail her plans. Falling for the cowboy doctor is a distraction she can’t afford… Plus their careers are taking them in opposite directions. But from picnics to stargazing, Grant is reminding Maggie that there’s more to life than winning in the arena. Can they rewrite their dreams to include each other?

Between The Pages
This small-town, contemporary romance was a delightful read. The author invites you to Three Spring, Texas, and makes you an honorary resident. The story was visual, emotional, and uplifting. You’ll root for Maggie and Grant from the moment they meet. The complete cast was equally enjoyable, from Maggie’s sister to Grant’s brothers and grandfather. This story had a strong sense of family connections with a little drama and lots of fun. There was even a secondary romance. This is book four in the series, which like a lasso, will rope you in from beginning to end. Looking forward to reading book five.

Between The Pages - Lights, Camera, Christmas Town

Lights, Camera, Christmas Town
Anna J. Stewart, Beth Carpenter, Cari Lynn Webb, Cheryl Harper, Leanne Bristow, Liz Flaherty, Melinda Curtis, and Tanya Agler
October 2023

What could make the holidays in Christmas Town even more magical? The arrival of a TV movie’s cast and crew to recreate one of their most beloved couple’s happily ever after!

The snow is falling, the chestnuts are roasting, and Posey’s peppermint pies can’t keep up with demand! But there’s also mischief afoot as filming begins. Someone keeps sneaking Elmer the Elf into scenes, the town is buzzing with romantic gossip, and the Knotty Elves once again turn their creative endeavors from knitting to helping others find true love.

Between The Pages
Eight stories by eight different authors, yet the reading is smooth and connected. The plot is surrounded by a movie filmed in Christmas Town. New and old characters are spotlighted, each interesting and well-developed. The Knotty Elves are key to each story. The stories have a mixture of humor, drama, and lots of romance. This collection of stories is perfect to get you into the Christmas spirit.

Between The Pages - Her Favorite Wyoming Sheriff

Her Favorite Wyoming Sheriff
Cari Lynn Webb
October 2022

She keeps finding trouble…
He keeps finding her

Adele Blackwell Kane can’t seem to not get arrested. In fact, the pretty widowed mom of twin girls might be Sheriff Grady McMillan’s favorite not-quite-a-criminal. But keeping Adele out of trouble is hard work—especially when Grady wants out of Wyoming for good. When Adele decides to rescue the town from developers, Grady wonders if his quirky felon might be stealing his heart, too…

Between The Pages
Her Favorite Wyoming Sheriff was one of my favorite reads so far this year. The author told a story filled with laughter, heartache, drama, and the sweetest romance ever. As soon as you open the pages of this book, you’re immediately transported on an emotional rollercoaster. You’ll smile, laugh, and shed a few tears. The Blackwells never let their readers down with plenty of commotion, and Grady had family issues of his own. Adele and Grady were an endearing couple, and her twin girls, Ivy and Quinn, were scene stealers of cuteness. The series is reaching its peak with an anticipated finale coming. Thankfully Denny has Big E and her family in her corner. I highly recommend this book.

Between The Pages - Her Cowboy Wedding Date

Her Cowboy Wedding Date
Cari Lynn Webb
June 2022

Could this cowboy…Be her wedding date?

Maid of honor Tess Palmer has two weeks to plan her cousin’s wedding. She will do anything to make the ceremony perfect…even if it means wrangling best man Carter Sloan’s help. The cynical cowboy would rather focus on his business than wedded bliss, and widowed Tess isn’t looking for a second chance at love. But could planning a trip down the aisle bring the two of them together?

Between The Pages
This contemporary romance had an emotional punch. After reading books one and two in this series, I couldn’t wait to read about Tess and Carter. I felt at times Tess obsessed over her cousin’s wedding a bit too much, almost as though she was trying to fix mistakes she’d made in her past. However, Carter balanced Tess with perfection. He was a dashing cowboy. The family bonds in this story are exceptional. We get to see Tess’ sister and cousin happily in love with their significant others. As well as a deeper look into Carter’s family, focusing more on his relationship with his grandfather and his brothers, and a new addition when his uncle arrives looking for a lost recipe. This story will make you smile, laugh, shed a tear, and crave some chocolate. While this book stands well on its own, I recommend grabbing the first in the series to learn the backstory on the cast. I hope another book is in the works for the Three Springs Texas series because Carter has a few brothers who deserve their turn in the spotlight.

Between The Pages - Trusting The Rancher With Christmas

Trusting The Rancher With Christmas
Cari Lynn Webb
October 2021

A visit for the holidays

Brings love for a lifetime

Cattle rancher Evan Bishop is desperate for Paige Palmer’s help. The veterinarian is in Three Springs for the holidays, but the single dad hopes she has time to save his ailing livestock. Paige is up for the challenge, though not quite up to resisting the cowboy’s rugged charm and his darling devotion to his little girl. Can Paige learn to trust the rancher before the countdown to Christmas ends?

Between The Pages
This is the second book in the Three Springs Texas series and surprisingly topped the first book. We meet Evan in book one, so we already know he is a great guy and single dad, but we get to know him a lot more in this story. He deserves a happy-ever-after. His perfect match – a vet from the city. Paige brings life to Evan and this story. Obvious by the title, this book takes places during Christmas. The plot is masterfully developed with Christmas traditions mixing with Christmas firsts. There is so much to like between the pages of this story with animals in need of Paige’s care, the continued mystery over a missing silver coin, an engagement, the beautiful setting, and the cast which grows with more likeable characters – especially little Riley who steals every scene. This Christmas themed book will make you smile and bring a tear to your eye any time of year. Be sure to have a tissue ready when Paige is rescued by a rancher on a horse a second time!

Between The Pages - The Texas Seal’s Surprise

The Texas Seal’s Surprise
Cari Lynn Webb
August 2021

New town…

New set of problems

Suddenly single—and pregnant—Abby James hopes Three Springs, Texas, will give her the fresh start she craves. But five minutes in and she’s already clashed with a former Navy SEAL on horseback. Wes Tanner might be devastatingly handsome, but Abby has no time for romance. Especially with a man intent on leaving town. Abby wants to plant some roots…and falling for the tempting Texan could upend all her plans!

Between The Pages
I was excited to jump into a new series by this author who has provided me with endless hours of great reading. An abandoned and pregnant woman meets a man whose sole focus is finding his brother who stole his family inheritance. This is a recipe for a good story, and the author delivers exactly that. You will always find captivating characters in Ms. Webb’s books, and Abby and Wes are a perfect start to the Three Springs Texas series. Both characters have complicated pasts, and this is what makes them so interesting. The additional cast is equally enjoyable, especially Boone and Sam who are pivotal characters in this quaint and picturesque town. For fans of Ms. Webb’s City by The Bay series, watch for a plug on one of its characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book so much I am reading book two now!

Between The Pages - A Second Chance For Love

A Second Chance For Love
Mom Wanted by Anna J. Stewart
Father Wanted by Kayla Perrin
Hero Wanted by Melinda Curtis
Family Wanted by Cari Lynn Webb
April 2021

With Mother’s Day approaching, four women living in a picturesque coastal town discover a second chance at love when they finally find their happily-ever-after partners in this anthology of contemporary romance novellas.

Between The Pages
One book, four stories, four authors. The stories have a main theme in common, they all take place in a small town on the ocean – Sea Glass Bay. Each story is unique on its own, but flow together seamlessly. Each author has a unique voice, yet they come together to make Mother’s Day the overall theme and finding happy-ever-afters. I enjoyed reading each story and can’t pick a favourite as they were all heartwarming and emotional. A great combination of authors and stories.

Between The Pages - Three Makes A Family

Three Makes A Family

April 2021

Can love for a child…

Make them a family?

Lawyer Molly McKinney needs to be the best—now more than ever. Relocating to San Francisco means a chance to provide a stable income and home for her nine-month-old daughter. And defending former rival Drew Harrington against charges of witness tampering will boost her reputation. As they work to clear Drew’s name, their feelings grow. But does Molly have room in her life for love?

Between The Pages
I have been waiting for Drew’s story since he was introduced in his brother’s book, The Charm Offensive (book one in City By The Bay series). Drew is such a likable and charming character. His chemistry with Molly turns the pages on its own. Too many scenes had me fawning over Drew. Drew’s rescue of the puppies and their mother with his brother Brad, and each scene he held Molly’s daughter. Not only is the cover of this book captivating, but the story line is also enjoyable, which is all about character growth. A heartwarming romance that made me smile, laugh, and shed a tear. I highly recommend this book. I hope there’s another City By The Bay story in the works.

Between The Pages - Her Surprise Engagement

Her Surprise Engagement

A football star and a single mom…

Teach each other to trust again

To impress the executives buying her app, Nichole Moore enlists the help of old friend and pro quarterback Chase Jacobs. A pretend marriage is the perfect ruse: Chase’s celebrity status will impress the executives, while likable, hardworking Nichole could fix his fading career. But as their fake relationship plays out under the glare of the public eye, Nichole realizes her feelings might be the real deal…

Between The Pages
Book six of the City by the Bay Stories is so captivating. I could not put this book down. Chase and Nicole are the perfect leading couple. Their chemistry is immediate, which leads to complications for their fake marriage. Chase’s connection to Nicole’s son, Wesley, is sweet. There are a few twists in the story line that are fun, yet I hoped Wesley or Chase’s grandmother would know the marriage wasn’t real. The scene with Nicole in the wedding dress on the steps and Chase’s reaction was swoon worthy. This must read book is a touching romance of a renewed friendship expanding into something more.

Between The Pages - In Love By Christmas

In Love By Christmas

December 2019

This Christmas, two worlds collide

…under the mistletoe!

All Theo Taylor wants for Christmas is a profitable year-end and a flawless wedding for his sister. Hiring beautiful but unknown designer Josie Beck is a huge risk, especially when the Taylors’ reputation is at stake. Josie is sweet, kind and impossible to resist. But is Josie about to destroy Theo’s perfect wedding plan…or is she the answer to his heart’s secret Christmas wish?

Between The Pages
You’ll be in love with this story long before Christmas arrives. While Theo’s character takes a bit to grow on you, Josie is immediately likable. She has a such a sad background story, yet she has a huge heart. She is everybody’s best friend. The visual story telling is well-written which allows you to see every one of Josie’s designs. There are a few new cast members, and while I enjoyed Theo’s sister, his mother comes off a little immature and selfish, though there is a likable side to her that adds fun to her scenes. This story has it all…emotion, drama, laughter, smiles, and even the shedding of a tear or two.

Between The Pages - Single Dad To The Rescue

Single Dad To The Rescue

He offered her help

And he found love

Her home destroyed by a wildfire, Brooke Ellis finds temporary shelter at the home of paramedic Dan Sawyer and his young son, Ben. With the addition of Brooke and her lively fur family, Dan finds his carefully planned routine delightfully turned upside down. And his carefully guarded heart daring to trust in love again. When his ex-wife suddenly reappears, will it be Brooke to the rescue?

Between The Pages
Book four of the City by the Bay Stories is an emotional journey. Brooke’s story is heartbreaking, and I couldn’t wait for her to find her happy ending with Dan and his son, Ben. Dan also has a difficult road to travel when his ex-wife and brother show up on his doorstep, however the family drama adds a significant pull into this story. Watching the friendship grow into more between Dad and Brooke is captivating, as is Ben’s attachment to Brooke. The animals are an additional bonus! This story is so engaging, I didn’t want to put it down.

Between The Pages - Montana Wedding

Montana Wedding
Cari Lynn Webb
December 2020

Can a fake date

Become the real deal?

Triplet Georgie Harrison will do anything to keep her family—including her newfound Blackwell relatives—from worrying about her. Which is exactly why she’s enlisted way-too-charming rodeo cowboy Zach Evans to be her fake boyfriend for her sister’s Montana ranch wedding. The problem is that Georgie’s not just tempted to fall for her own ruse…she’s also falling hard for the roguish cowboy she can never have.

Between The Pages
The final book in the Blackwell Sisters brings anticipation and sadness. We get to meet the last Harrison sister, Georgie, and the captivating cowboy, Zach Evans. Their initial meeting grabs your attention and has you turning the pages to follow their heartwarming romance. The plot is filled with so much emotion you’ll root for Georgie and Zach even more. The wedding of Georgie’s sister is a nice backdrop to the story as it brings together the whole Blackwell clan with some of my favourite characters, especially Big E, who stands out in every scene. I’m sad to see this series end, but I’m hoping the authors get together again to bring more excitement to the Blackwell Ranch with new characters, and of course the regular favourites we’ve grown to love.

Between The Pages - Ava's Prize

Ava’s Prize
Cari Lynn Webb
November 2018

He needs a great idea

She can provide it—but at what cost?

The battle lines are drawn when army medic turned EMT Ava Andrews enters a contest devised by San Francisco entrepreneur Kyle Quinn. The first responder isn’t just competing for a tempting grand prize. She’s fighting her attraction to the self-made millionaire…and losing the war. But private and professional boundaries blur when a breach of trust threatens Ava’s future with Kyle.

Between The Pages
This story is all about the characters. While I enjoy a book with a picturesque setting or packed with action, this story hits the mark with exceptional characters. Ava stood out in The Doctor’s Recovery (book two in the series), so I was anxious to read her story. Kyle was an interesting character. Once you get to know Kyle, he grows on you. Then he does something stupid and you want to slap him (typical hero, lol) but he makes up for everything in the end. The author takes you through the characters’ journey of growth. Their stories are complicated and emotional. Friendship with undeniable chemistry. You will root for Ava and Kyle from beginning to end. The additional cast of family and friends is a bonus.

Between The Pages - The Doctor’s Recovery

When a doctor and a filmmaker reconnect…

Just who is healing whom?

Two years ago, Dr. Wyatt Reid shared an unforgettable goodbye kiss with Mia Fiore. Now a scuba diving accident brings the daredevil documentary filmmaker into his San Francisco ER. Could this be their shot at a real relationship? But Wyatt, haunted by family tragedy, saves lives, and Mia risks hers every day. Can they find the way to a future on both their terms?

Between The Pages
He saves lives and she risks hers - the beginning of a complex relationship. This sweet romance is a delightful read. The main characters are interesting, both with complicated family history. The story stalled slightly for me while Mia was in the hospital, but the introduction of Wyatt’s mother maintained the read as the plot grows with solid emotional scenes from the main characters feeling the pressure of their pasts – Mia over her father – and Wyatt with the death of his brother and his relationship with his mother. The ending is heartwarming and touching. The cast in this series is growing and makes each new book an adventure with old and new characters.

Between The Pages - The Charm Offensive

The Charm Offensive

Winning her over means winning everything.

Sophie Callahan is PI Brad Harrington's best lead to tracking down the man he's been hired to bring to justice: Sophie's own thieving father. But when Brad arrives at The Pampered Pooch, just behind a litter of stray kittens, the pet-store owner is the big surprise. This scrappy, huge-hearted woman with charm to spare gets to Brad in a way no one has ever been able to before. She spends her life finding—and making—homes for others: abandoned pets, her young niece. He'll have to tell her why he's really here. Which means he'll have to choose between his sail-away dreams and the chance to build a forever home—with her.

Between The Pages
This sweet romance has everything. A punch of emotion and drama, and it will make you smile. Brad is a great hero, but Sophie is the lead in this story. I enjoy a good story where the heroine stands out. Sophie is strong and determined, caring and sweet. There’s so much to like about this book. The setting is inviting, Sophie owns a pet store and finds fur-ever homes for abandoned animals, and there are adorable kittens! There’s even a great cast of secondary characters from Brad’s family and Sophie’s friends. Brad’s brother could shine in a story of his own. If book one is any sign of what’s to come in the City By The Bay series, I can’t wait to read more.

Between The Pages - The Rancher’s Rescue

The Rancher’s Rescue

September 2018

He isn’t home to stay

Until a mother-to-be changes his mind

Ethan Blackwell is back in Falcon Creek to save his family ranch after his grandfather disappears. When Grace Gardner reveals she’s pregnant with his child, she becomes Ethan’s top priority. But can he be the man he wants to be—preserving the Blackwell legacy and making a life with Grace—in a place he never planned to settle down?

Between The Pages
A sweet, heartwarming story fills the pages of this book. Ethan and Grace are perfectly matched and their history and reconnection makes this story truly enjoyable. Together they make each other stronger. The main characters are the highlight, but the secondary cast of characters are equally strong. Returning to the Blackwell Ranch and catching up with Jon and his girls was fun. Then there’s Katie, the Blackwell Ranch’s foreman who never stops to take a breath. Grace’s sister was also interesting. Judge Myrna makes you smile with her reference to the Blackwell brothers as Day One and Day Two. My favourite character was Pops. You’ll want to sit on the porch, play some chess, and listen to his stories. A bonus surprise takes place near the end where Big E finally makes an appearance and though the scene is short, his presence jumps out on the pages. The story line is well written, and the flow is seamless from the first book to the second. Though this is the second book in the Return of the Blackwell Brothers series, each book stands alone on their own, but I recommend reading them in order just to get acquainted with the cast and the town of Falcon Creek. Looking forward to book three, The Rancher’s Redemption.
